Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix is a minister ordained at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a elementary school teacher at Balboa Magnet. Felix displayed a knack for athletics early on discovering her talent for sprinting while she was at the Los Angeles Baptist High School. A mere 10 weeks after the initial time she tried out the sport, she finished second in 200m at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003, Felix was a senior in high school having signed a professional contract with the company that makes sports Adidas and then enrolled in the University of Southern California where she was studying elementary education. The following year, Felix won the first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece setting an all-time junior world record sprinting 200 meters at 22.18 seconds. She became the youngest world winner in the 200m in the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007 by beating her time-tested Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix took part at her first Olympics during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo consistently placing within the top three in all her competitions.
